DexStand is built for heavy loads, supporting up to 500 lbs with professional stability. This rating covers camera bodies, tripods, accessories, operators, and other production gear without sacrificing safety or rigidity.

DexStand works with most professional tripods and cameras, including DSLR, mirrorless, PTZ, and production rigs. Its secure Footbox system accommodates spiked feet, rubber feet, smooth legs, and oversized tripod legs using the optional DexStand Strap for added compatibility. Standard rubber yokes secure the spiked feet to the Footboxes. Most round footed tripods like a GITZO STYLE leg of less than 1.25" in diameter sit inside the Footbox. A small spring button is pressed allowing the outer door to rotate upwards and capture the leg.

DexStand is designed for professional event environments including hotel ballrooms, convention centers, theaters, and outdoor venues. It performs best on flat, stable surfaces and accommodates different tripod foot types to maintain secure placement across common event flooring material. With that said each of the 4 adjustable legs have 4" of thread. About 3.5" are available for adjustments to uneven surfaces or slopes up to 5°.

If you work in environments where the staging or other structures are covered with skirting, a DexStand Custom Sewn Skirt will give you a professional look and not draw unwanted attention to your setup. The DexStand Custom Sewn Skirt is constructed with 2" hook and loop closures. The skirt can be entirely taken apart -or- by simply loosening the areas near the footboxes you can slip the skirt off intact and it's ready to quickly reattach for the next use.

We recommend leaving it attached all the time. This also protects the powder coated DexStand from abrasions. Imagine opening your soft case, picking up your DexStand fully dressed with the skirt, and seconds after setting the lower safety pins, your DexStand is ready to attach your tripod.
